Milky Way Farms

Providing the region with farm fresh dairy products since 1962.

Welcome to Milky Way Farms.

Thanks for visiting our website! Milky Way Farms is a 4th generation family farm located in Troy, PA. We are a grass-based dairy farm that uses sustainable and pesticide-free methods. Our cows are a hardy mix of several breeds, including Lineback, Dutch Belt, Jersey, Holstein, Brown Swiss, Ayrshire, and Shorthorn. Currently, our milking herd is 50 cows strong. The farm was started by Lewis Seeley, and is currently run by three generations of the Seeley family. Since 1962, the Seeleys have provided high-quality, healthy products to their local community at fair prices.

Quality Dairy Products

Our milk is pasteurized and bottled on-site at our bottling plant, which is connected to our on-farm restaurant and store, the Milky Way. The milk is then sold at the Milky Way, a few local retailers, and sold directly to the Penn College of Technology, where it is consumed in the school’s cafeteria and culinary school.

In addition to milk, we make many value-added dairy products, including butter, heavy cream, ice cream, and most recently, cheese! These products are also sold in our store. Due to the fire, which damaged our cheese room and inventory, we are currently selling a farmer friend’s delicious farmstead cheese, Stone Meadow Farms out of Centre County, PA.

And during the holiday season, customers can always look forward to the seasonal return of our “famous” Eggnog, using all natural ingredients.

Northern Tier Sustainable Meats

In addition to dairy products, Kim is a co-founder of a local grass-fed beef cooperative of several area farmers, Northern Tier Sustainable Meats. Founded in 2005, the cooperative is proud to sell high quality beef and pork products to the region. From ground beef to fresh hams, the cooperative sells directly to consumers through the Milky Way store, as well as through Penn College of Technology, Bullfrog Brewery and the Peter Herdic House in Williamsport, PA. Customers can buy NT Coop meats directly from our on-farm store. See our Products page for more information.

We are proud lifetime members of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA), as well as business members of the Northern Tier Buy Fresh Buy Local Chapter.
